It costs some bucks, but I learned so many things!

For lower level, (Pre-K to 3rd grade) you need to do 20 minuets (it's optional to change the time) of school (of choice), then after school you can do 10 minuets of playground: a bunch of computer games! (optional to make time higher or lower).

For upper level, (4th grade to 8th grade) It's almost the same as lower level, except for the fact that it's a lot harder.

By the way, if you draw pictures (like me), you can send it into Time 4 learning, too!

I don't know if this is on subject, but a couple of hours ago, my brother Brady (Age: 9) took apart a DELL laptop, for it was already broken because he kinda-sorta broke it (by: A: he did time 4 learning and hit the keys too hard: B: he played games on it and ALSO hit the keys too hard, Geez.)

So, untill next time,

Camren.

Calendar

By: Josh and Marly King

Lam 2: 4 He has bent His bow like an enemy. He has set His right hand like an adversary. And He slays all who delighted the eye. In the tent of the daughter of Tsiyon, He has poured out His wrath like fire.
5 יהוה has been like an enemy. He has swallowed up Yisra’ĕl, He has swallowed up all her palaces, He has destroyed her strongholds. And He increases mourning and lamentation In the daughter of Yehuḏah.
6 He has demolished His booth like a garden, He has destroyed His place of meeting. יהוה has made the appointed times1 and Sabbaths To be forgotten in Tsiyon, And despises sovereign and priest In His raging displeasure.
7 יהוה has cast off His altar, He has rejected His set-apart place, He has delivered the walls of her palaces Into the hand of the enemy. They have made a noise in the House of יהוה As on the day of an appointed time.

Who decided when the Sabbath would be? How do we know what day of the week the seventh day falls? These are two questions that have been plaguing me of late. In the last few months we have met and become friends with some folks that have really opened our eyes to the inconsistencies of our “Messianic” life and these are two questions that we had never considered before. We, like sheep, just took the word of our previous teachers that the Sabbath (when we were Mormon) was on Sunday, and when we became Messianic that the Sabbath was on Saturday.

You see for centuries now we have all been following a calendar that has set days of the week. Some months have 31 days and there is even a month that has 28 days! But what does our calendar have to do with Elohims’ time reckoning? Nothing that’s what! The current calendar we are all forced to use is a made up system that has nothing to do with times and seasons, nothing to do with Elohims Feasts and Festivals, and God forbid you get stuck on a desert island with that being your only way of keeping time.
Gen 1: 14 And Elohim said, “Let lights come to be in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for days and years, Ps 136:7; 15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth.” And it came to be so.

Where in the Bible does Elohim tell us that our days of the week are set? I have yet to find it, and trust me I‘ve looked, so once again the original two questions come into play. If יהוה has made the appointed times1 and Sabbaths To be forgotten in Tsiyon (Lam 2: 6) How would we ever find our way back? How could we possibly think we are on the right track now? I don’t think we are I think we are in the middle of the forgotten times. If we weren’t, I think that we all would be on the same page as far as the calendar goes. In my little area of Idaho we have people celebrating Yah’s Feasts (which is awesome) the only problem is that they are all celebrating them on different days from one another. In the same town people can’t even get the appointed times straight.

Here’s another question, in Biblical days how did the farmers and sheep herders know when to go into Jerusalem for Feasts and Festivals? There were no postal services and no e mail to spread the word… They knew by watching the lunar cycle. So let’s talk for a minute about ‘sighting’ the new moon. Where in the Torah does it tell us to start a month at the “sighting” of the new moon? It doesn’t! From what I understand a moon is considered ’new’ when it is dark, at the conjunction (when earth, moon &sun are aligned), not when you see the first sliver. So starting your month at the sighting does not seem to be the way to go, considering that we see it at different days all over the world due to weather.

Back to the farmer, he lives on the outskirts of Israel, and has cloud cover in his area and spots the sliver of the new moon on let’s say Wednesday. Well the new moon was spotted in Jerusalem on Tuesday (no cloud cover), but Farmer has no way of knowing that, since he has no internet and didn’t get the e-mail letting him know that 10 people from around Israel spotted it Tuesday. So he gets ready to leave for Jerusalem for the Feast, and since he spotted the moon on a Wednesday he leaves according to that, well he left a day late considering that the moon was sighted in Jerusalem on Tuesday so farmer shows up to the feast the afternoon of the actual feast and has been traveling all day and misses everything! Um yeah that doesn’t make much sense to me, how about you?

Exo 12:2 “This month is the beginning of months for you, it is the first month of the year for you. Keep in mind that in Hebrew it actually says “This New Moon is the beginning of New Moons for you,” Do a study for yourself on the New Moon and Shabbat. What you will find is what I found, that the New Moon and the Shabbat are not ever the same day, in fact the New Moon is a set apart day not one of the six working day’s or the Shabbat.

2 Kings 4:23 And he said, “Why are you going to him today? It is neither the New Moon nor the Sabbath.” And she said, “It is well!”

2Chr 2:4 see, I am building a House for the Name of יהוה my Elohim, to set it apart to Him, to burn before Him sweet incense, and for the continual showbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, and on the New Moons, and on the appointed times of יהוה our Elohim. This is for Yisra’ĕl forever.

The New Moon has its own offerings….

2Chr 8:13 even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the command of Mosheh, for the Sabbaths, and for the New Moons, and for the appointed times three times a year: the Festival of Unleavened Bread, and the Festival of Weeks, and the Festival of Booths.

Neh 10:33 for the showbread, and for the continual grain offering, and for the continual burnt offering of the Sabbaths, of the New Moons, for the appointed times, and for the set-apart offerings, and for the sin offerings to make atonement for Yisra’ĕl, and all the work of the House of our Elohim.

2Chr 31:3 And the sovereign appointed a portion of his possessions for the burnt offerings, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths and for the New Moons and for the appointed times, as it is written in the Torah of יהוה.

We are starting to see a pattern here, and that pattern is that the New Moon is a set apart day, and by set apart I mean set apart from all other days, from Sabbaths and the six working days, not set apart as a Sabbath itself. There are eight or nine other scriptures which back up that train of thought look them up.

So, Yahowah tells us that we are to use the ‘lights’ in the sky for signs, appointed times, days and years, why aren’t we doing that now?

How complicated do you really believe that Yah wanted to make keeping time? I doubt He wanted the body of believers splintered this way, having to rely on some man or some organization to let people know when they are supposed to observe a Sabbath or a Feast. How did Noah keep track of time on the ark? And how do you reconcile Lam 2:6 יהוה has made the appointed times1 and Sabbaths To be forgotten in Tsiyon, with our current state of believers being on 2 or more calendar systems. It tells me that we are not following His time, that we have in fact forgotten His appointed times and Sabbaths, and until we all get on the same ‘calendar’ we are going to be stuck, and WAY outside of His will and instruction.

Let’s talk for a moment about the moon, we all know that Yahowah said we were to use it as a way to keep track of times and seasons days and weeks, did you know that there is a natural 29 or 30 day cycle that takes place as the moon renews its self monthly? Not 28 or 31. We only have a 30 day lunar month when the conjunction happens after sundown, which is not often. The natural cycle can easily be recognized by just looking up and observing at the moon the way our biblical brothers did nightly, and within a couple of months you will see the pattern:

So, if the lunar cycle is the same every month (new moon) no matter what, wouldn’t it then make sense that our months that we observe should be the same, no matter what? I think so. Yah tells us to use the Moon as a guide to keep time, and the lunar cycle is the same every month, He also tells us to guard the New Moon and we see in scripture that it is set apart from the Sabbaths and the six working days.

So as we follow the lunar cycle we see that first we have a New Moon (conjunction) it is a set apart day, not a Sabbath or one of the 6 working days… then we count 6 days and on the 7th we have the First Quarter…. Count 6 days then we have the Full Moon…. Count 6 days then we have the Last quarter….count 6 days then we have the last visible sliver… the very next night is the conjunction again where the whole process starts anew.

It’s all very simple really and as far as I can tell the correct way to keep time is a combination of the 2 most popular calendar systems of our time used by believers and Jews. The Hillel II calendar and the ‘Biblical’ calendar used by Michael Rood. Both have accurate information, the Hillel calendar starts the month at the Conjunction, only it does not set the New Moon apart from the other days. And the ‘Biblical’ calendar starts from the sighting of the sliver which in most cases would be correct (if visibility permits) which would put the count right as long as they observed the New Moon which at this time they do not. Where both are stuck in my opinion is having set days of the week, which isn’t biblical and we have no proof that time was ever kept this way before the Julian calendar which is the calendar in use before the Gregorian calendar we are all using today. When you have a calendar with set days of the week whether you use the pagan names of Monday-Sunday or 1st day–Shabbat, something very important gets lost, the New Moon. And aren’t we commanded to observe it and set it apart? Wouldn’t it make more sense that as the Moon renews itself that the calendar should also renew itself?

Take some time and pray about this, do an intensive study on the subject, make sure you aren’t holding fast to something that you were taught or told by someone else, which is the knee jerk thing to do when something challenges a ‘fact’ you have always known. It’s a hard thing to do when it comes to breaking away from the social routines in which our culture has us firmly planted. We live in a society where ‘Monday’ through ‘Friday’ are the work days and our ‘weekend’ is ‘Saturday’ and ‘Sunday’. Whether you are Jewish or Christian isn’t it convenient that the set apart days for worshiping our Elohim fall on this ‘weekend’.

We are supposed to be in this world not of it and just because the pagans around us are following a schedule and calendar of their own making does not mean we have to! I have one basic understanding of our Elohim, simplicity, when it comes to His commandments he makes it simple for us, we are so far removed from the time when Torah was given that we have a hard time letting go of our indoctrination and realizing that the most simple answer to any question tends to be the correct one.

How could anyone believe in evolution?

I am completely in awe with people who believe in evolution. I have never been able to understand how anyone can look around this planet and not see creation. How can you look at the trees and the oceans and the animals and not see that there was a creator involved? The fact that we as humans breath in oxygen and breath out carbon dioxide, and that plants and trees breath in that carbon dioxide and in turn breath out oxygen, should be enough to convince you that there is no way that that symbiotic relationship just happened one day! The fact that if even one thing was out of place, one little molecule that basically the whole planet could not exist, does that not make evolutionists stop and think for a moment?

I would like to take a minute and talk about my baby, Sophie. Isn’t it amazing that there are two sexes of humans, that my husband and I came together and that we exchanged parts of ourselves, his part being nothing like mine, and that those two parts came together and made a baby, she isn’t a carbon copy of either of us, but has parts of both of us. Isn’t it amazing that my body knew just how to carry her and nurture her, and that I gave her nutrients through her placenta and umbilical cord, and in turn my body took care of her waist through the same system. Then when she was good and cooked my body knew just how to get her out, parts of me worked and stretched to accommodate her and give her safe passage into this world. But that was all by happenstance huh, there was no design involved, just chance right?

Now that she is here, I am still giving her nutrients, only now it is through a different part of my body, my breasts. Isn’t it funny how my body makes the perfect food for her and that she needs nothing but that food for well over the first year of her life. How interesting is it that my body knows how to convert my food and fat into this perfect food for her, but that is all coincidence right, there is no way that there is some Higher Power at work here, right?

The cold hard truth of the matter is that people who believe in evolution are in a cult religion! Sounds’ funny considering that is what they are always saying about people who believe in God, and believe that He created this world and all that is in it. They will never admit it, but the truth is a cold reality, how can it not be called a religion when they believe in something that cannot be proven, they are in a faith based relationship with something that has no basis in truth. Is that not the very same definition they themselves give to those who believe in God? Carbon dating is a hoax, and circular logic, and basing your belief system on something that it’s self is a flaw is somewhat silly I say.

The fact that there is a book with eyewitness account of history, the fact that almost every primitive people tell the same account with their different forms of communication tells me that there has to be some truth and reality in those accounts. Did you know that there is archeological proof of the stories in the Bible? Well there is. The day that I saw Pharaoh's corral incrusted chariots laying on the land bridge where God parted the Red Sea with my own eyes, was the day that I stopped questioning the Bible and its accounts. Because to use the very same circular logic that evolutionist use, if most of the accounts of the Bible can be corroborated, which they have, than I myself choose to believe the whole of the Bible. And until I see the half dog half frog, or the actual middle man ape, then I choose to believe what I can see touch taste and smell, that is Torah and Yahuwha (God) He has yet to let me down, and I know that he never will.

A few more question’s for evolutionists, what if you’re wrong? What if there is a God and he did create everything you see around you, what do you think is going to happen when you come face to face with Him on judgment day, what do you think He is going to say? What will you have to say for yourself?

Mama's favorite Iced Sweet Tea!!!!

If you have a large family like I do than you need to make large batches of stuff at once just to keep them all happy. This is my recipe for the perfect Iced Sweet Tea...

What you will need is a 1 gallon glass container, Lipton Green Tea, Luzianne Black Tea, white Stevia powder, and lemons.....

Boil up a quart of water
Pour boiling water into your glass jar (make sure the jar is not cold or it will crack)

Add:
1 (family sized) or 2 (regular sized) Luzianne tea bags
5 regular Lipton Green Tea bags (I like to use 1 mixed berry green tea in place of 1 of the green tea bags, I like my tea a bit fruity)

I usually tie all the bags together, be sure to remove the paper at the ends.

Put the lid on your jar and let it sit on the counter for a few hours.

Remove bags and ring them out into the jar (then put the bags into your composter)

Add:
2 teaspoons of white Stevia Powder
3 lemons juiced

Then fill the jar all the way up to the top, and enjoy!!

You can forgo the boil step and just add the tea bags to your jar full of water and put the jar into the sun, leave all day and then add the Stevia and Lemon. Yum!!!

IS COOKING BREAKING THE SHABBAT

<meta content="text/html; As believers we are so zealous for Torah (the first five books in the Bible, God’s Instruction for us on how to live our lives to please Him) that we want to do everything in our power to make YHVH (God) happy and to follow all of His commands to us to the best of our ability. But is cooking on the Sabbath one of those no no’s, are we to be cut off from Israel if we reheat food or even toast a bagel on the Sabbath? My husband and I were tired of the argument so we did an in depth study with a really good friend on the subject and this is what we came to for our family on this subject.

The first thing that is so important to have when embarking on any serious study of the Bible is a program that you can search the Bible with, something that can get every single verse about one topic or the other. Some like to use a Strong’s Concordance, which is awesome by the way, only what do you do when looking for verses that have more than one word you need to find. Just using Strong’s can be extremely time consuming and difficult, so I prefer to use my computer. If you do not have an electronic program like this already I have a suggestion, e-sword. It’s free as are most of the versions of the Bible that you can download including the Hebrew Old Testament, which is really great when you are questioning a word and would like to see the other choices the translators had while translating from the Hebrew to whatever language you are reading in. http://www.e-sword.net/

The next step we went through was deciding whether there are any differences in the Sabbath’s. Is there a difference between the weekly Shabbat, and say the Sabbaths that we are given for the feasts and festivals? Since we began our walk with Yah over five years ago we have always heard people refer to the Shabbat, and then the ‘High Holy Days’. What are the High Holy Days? Funny question, because the Torah doesn’t refer to any Shabbat or feast of festival as a ‘High Holy Day’!!! What? Do the search for yourself, we were surprised as well, since we had been referring to them as High Holy Days to our children and our families for years now, and making a bigger deal out of them than maybe we should have. In fact there is only one scripture in the whole of the Bible that refers to any Sabbath as a ‘High Day’:

John 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the Sabbath day, (for that Sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

So in all of the Torah, the Prophets, the Writings and the New Testament we only see one reference to any Sabbath being a “High Day”, and let’s look at that for a moment, why did Yahshua (Jesus) come to the earth in the first place? I believe it was to bring His people Israel back to the Torah, like any good prophet he says, ‘Hey people, Torah’s back there!’ Jerking his thumb behind him the whole time, since we had been carried so far from Torah by our associations with the pagans around us and all the man made rules and laws created by perhaps well meaning Rabbi’s and such, who were trying to keep people in Torah with thousands of extra commands that weren’t even in the Torah to begin with. Were we not warned about EXTRA?

Deu 4:1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.

<span style="color: #943634; Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Deu 4:3 But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day.

Deu 4:5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

Deu 4:6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

Deu 4:7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

Deu 4:8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

Deu 4:9  Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;

So we were warned my Moses not to add anything to Torah or take anything away, and he even gave us examples to warn us. So it doesn’t make much sense to me why the Jews continued to add and take away from the Torah even though they continued to get dispersed and persecuted because of it, I supposes some lessons are hard learned.

Back to the topic at hand, so by the time Yahshua came to save us the Jews had already added TONS of extra to the Torah, including referring to the first day of Unleavened Bread as a “High Day” Which YHVH had never done in all the Torah or the Prophets. So I conclude that we cannot go by that reference in John to make a blanket policy regarding feasts and festivals as being set higher or more special than the fifty-two other Sabbaths that Yah so graciously provided for our rest.

So if Yah did not separate the feasts and festivals as ‘different’ from the other Sabbaths, which we have clearly seen that He hasn’t, than what do we do about this scripture? Where Yah is telling us what we can and cannot do on the Feast of Unleavened Bread’s Shabbats.

Exo 12:16 On the first and seventh days, you are to have an assembly set aside for God. On these days no work is to be done, except what each must do to prepare his food; you may do only that.

Hum, so He tells us that we are allowed to prepare food on the first and the last days of Matzah, and He never once differentiated between weekly Sabbath’s and the other Sabbath’s. So that leads me to conclude that we are allowed to prepare our food on the Sabbath, and that that is THE only work, if you will, that is allowed on the Sabbath. Now let’s take a moment and talk about the nature of our God, He is very specific in all that He says and does. He gives us detailed instructions on how to deal in our marriages, what to do when on your monthly period, how to cleanse yourself after touching a dead body; for crying out loud, He even walks us through what to do if you borrow an animal from your neighbor and it dies on your watch, what to do if is dies while it’s owner is with you, and the difference between what to do if it’s an accident or not. Now, knowing this about Yah, how could you even for one minute think that He would leave something that would cause this much contention and strife up to us simpletons to figure out for ourselves?

There is one set of scripture that all who are against cooking on Shabbat go with, it is about gathering Manna on the Sabbath:

Exo 16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

So, if you look only at that verse than you could conclude that we are to bake it all up on the 6th day and eat leftovers as we know them today on Shabbat. But if we take the whole command in context, which in these times people do not like to do, as it’s really hard to weave your manmade doctrine from whole paragraphs, instead of numbered sound bites, than we start to see the original intent behind that verse:

Exo 16:19 And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.

Exo 16:20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.

Exo 16:21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.

Exo 16:22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.

Shows how hard it was for us to trust Him even when we have daily proof of His existence. He told us to gather up what we needed for one day, and yet we still wanted to get more, to so it our way!

Exo 16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

Exo 16:24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.

Exo 16:25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a Sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field.

Exo 16:26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the Sabbath, in it there shall be none.

Exo 16:27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.

Exo 16:28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?

Here again a prime example of our unwillingness to do His will, but what struck me is how He did not tell us we could not prepare it, or cook it on Sabbath, but that we were not allowed to GATHER it on the Sabbath. Because let’s be honest stooping and gathering is work, not to mention that Yah Himself, takes a day of rest on the seventh day as well. So He rests from creating the Manna, and we rest from collecting it. But nowhere does he say that we are not allowed to prepare it, and if we were not allowed to prepare it on the weekly Sabbath, than why are we allowed to prepare and cook on the other Sabbaths?

Exo 16:29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the Sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

So we are told to gather our food on the 6th day, and not to leave our place on the 7th, so I personally choose not to go the Walmart on the seventh day, I am careful to gather my food and make sure that I have all that I need for the Shabbat, on the 6th day.

Exo 16:30 So the people rested on the seventh day.

So in conclusion, Yah commanded us not to gather food on the Sabbath, he gave us permission to cook and prepare on the Sabbath, when telling us how to deal with the extra Sabbath’s for feasts and festivals. Important to note that He never made a differentiation between the weekly Sabbath and the other Sabbath’s, Yah is very precise and tells us what He loves and what He hates, and if we were not allowed to prepare food on the Sabbath I truly believe that He would have given us a direct command saying that, maybe something like this: DO NOT PREPARE OR COOK YOUR FOOD ON THE SABBATH!

We try to get as much prepared on the 6th day as we can, but we do not feel that we are breaking Torah in any way by toasting a bagel or reheating a casserole prepared the day before on the Sabbath. We as believers need to be very careful not be false prophets and teachers, in regards to what we interpret Torah say, heed the words of Moses in Deuteronomy, and let us not forget what the Messiah Himself had to say on the subject:

Mat 5:19 So my husband reomved the ones he could and sprinkled about a pint of Diatomaceous Earth all over the plant. And today ALL GONE! Not one stinking bug left. This stuff is worth it's weight in gold, I swear by it. There are many many other uses but for now, I will leave you with an all natural remedy for all squash bugs (I hear it works great on other bugs as well, I know it keeps the ants off our pets' food.) I will try to explain what it is and why it's an awesome addition to any diet. Kefir is a yummy, sweet carbonated soda like, healthy wonder.

Water Kefir has been around for centuries, I have read many accounts where children in mountains somewhere in the east drank mostly Kefir and lived to be over 100 years old on average. The simple description is that Kefir is a mix of beneficial bacteria and yeasts that are held together, and feed off of cane sugar, and sugar from fruits. Technically water kefir is usually made up of Streptococcus, Lactobacillus, Pediococcus and Leuconostoc bacteria with yeasts from Saccharomyces, Candida, Kloeckera and possibly others. In my research I have found that all of these living organisms help you to have a healthy gut along with many other health benefits.

I have found that these little guys are like a life tonic, I have more energy and my gut seems to be in much better shape when drinking Kefir daily, not to mention how nuts' the kids get when I make a new batch. .

It is very simple to prepare Kefir, what you will need:

1 Quart wide mouth jar
1/2 Lemon
1/2 Cup Brown Cane Sugar (kefir grains don't seem to like beet sugar) Or Succanat (unprocessed cane suger)
1/3 Cup Kefir Grains
Dried Fruit (I like to use organic figs as my dried fruit, but prunes, or raisins work great as well.)
Good water (Kefir Grains hate chlorine, so don't use city tap water)

Wash your jar, then add your kefir grains, brown sugar, lemon (just toss it in), 2 figs or prunes or a small hand full of raisins. Fill your jar with good water until the rim, give it a bit of head space so the carbonation doesn't break the jar. Put a cap on the jar, give it a shake and your off.

A couple of times a day give the jar a shake or stir, and then unscrew the lid a bit to let off the pressure. Your Kefir drink should be ready within 24 to 48 hours, just taste it at 5 hours intervals to see when you like the taste.

If you let it go to long then it will taste alcoholic, since the Kefir grains eat the sugar, and give off bubbles, the longer it goes the less sweet it is.

When you reach the flavor you want, just drain your drink through a mesh strainer, squeeze the lemon into it, and enjoy!

Rinse your grains and start a new batch, you can reuse the dried fruit for a few batches. If you don't like the flavor of the plain batch then add it to some juice, or iced tea... Yum!

Purchasing Kefir is fairly easy, the Internet is awesome and you can even get some on e bay now. The best part about Water Kefir Grains, they multiply... if you feed them well and take care of them, they will multiply and grow. Soon all your friends and family will have grains you have given them. After you have given grains to everyone you know you can eat them, my mother in law puts them in her cottage cheese, and other foods. She feels like a new woman.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://naturalmessianicliving.blogspot.com/2009/07/water-kefir-what-is-it-basic-recipe.html' title='Water Kefir, what is it? The fact that anyone would pay $80.00 for a pillow who's outer material is simple cotton, and who's inner filling is what is left over after they hull buckwheat, has never really made any sense to me.

There are many awesome benefits to using these pillows though, firstly they are awesome comfortable.... Think memory foam, only all natural, and non toxic. I have also read in several places that Buckwheat are non allergenic. My two asthma kids have no issues with their pillows now, and they sleep very comfortably. Buckwheat breathes, if you make the pillow out of cotton, and use a cotton pillow case, you will never wake up sweaty again, the pillow wicks moisture from you, and it seems that dust mites don't like them.

So after researching buckwheat pillows and why on the web, I decided it was in my best interest to just make one for myself. Now finding your buckwheat hulls is another story. Since they are all the rage right now be careful about just ordering them from the Internet, since you will most likely get over charged. I order mine through my favorite health food store in town. The owner orders huge 50 lbs sacks for me, and when I say huge I mean it. The hulls themselves are very light weight, so 50 lbs is a lot.

Then I take a a pillow case and I cut my material roughly the size of the pillow case. Sew the seems at 5/8 of and inch, but leave yourself a hole roughly the size of a glass at the end (so you can put your hulls in. Then turn it right side out. I like to stitch a second seem on the outside as well,, better safe then sorry. Spilled buckwheat hulls are a nightmare to clean up.

After you have the case sewn then use a simple canning funnel to pour your hulls in. I like mine to weigh about 4 1/2 to 5 lbs, and the cool thing is that you can reopen it and add more or take some out to suit your likes. I like to weigh mine with a fish scale (very inexpensive), then close up your hole, and Voila` you have a buckwheat pillow that sells for WAY too much money and it cost you literally a few dollars to make.

A few hint's instead of buying new material for your cover, just cut up a favorite old sheet, since you will definitely put a pillow case over your pillow to protect it, who cares what the cover looks like. Just in case you haven't noticed there is a lot of buzz about Lavender lately, and I can say that it's right on. I make tea from Lavender flowers at night to relax me, I put Lavender Essential oil in my baths and I put satchels of lavender in my buckwheat pillows. The smell is subtle and it is so relaxing to breath deep the sent of calming Lavender before I close my eyes at night. Next time I make one for myself, I am going to put Chamomile in there as well.

Have fun, and perfection is not the purpose, the purpose is a comfortable, healthy, supportive pillow that will last you for years.

Home Gym for $100.00?

Yes you can have a home gym for around $100! I have a few helpful tips for the mom's or anyone for that manner who would love to have a gym membership but cant afford it. Afford the time or the money, I know that with 5 kids and 5 paper routes I don't have 5 extra minutes to go work out anywhere, and on top of that I also, due to the 5 kids and routes don't have 2 extra pennies to tub together. But, I have found that since I stopped working (outside the home) and smoking, that I am holding onto like 50 extra pounds that are stuck to me like glue.

Well, my husband of course does not care about the weight, but it drives me crazy. I have a terrible time looking in the mirror and not seeing that fit 18 year old that lives in my head. So I decided to do something about it. I have tons of workout tapes, everything from Yoga to Latin Dancing, but if you are like me, working out to a tape with kids crawling all over you is not something that works well. So the tapes sit unused, except for my teenager who loves doing them (she's a show off!). So what other options do I have? Walking, which I try to do as often as I can, but the time constrants make it tough to fit a walk in everyday. So that leaves a home gym.

Being on the monetarily challenged side it took me a few months to get it together, and nothing I have is new (except my rebounder), my trick it THRIFT STORES, you go into any thrift store and you will find work out equipment. I have found things that cost $100 new, but I got them for $14.99. I have 5 pieces in my "Nintendo" room and I got it all for right around $100.

I have a exercise bike, a health rider, The Red, a rebounder. several weights, a yoga ball and work out bands. Plenty of items to have a great workout, whenever I want. Now sure sometimes it sits for a couple of weeks but the kids love having it, and being schooled at home, it's easy to want to stay inside, but they have a blast working out on the gym equipment.

I suggest just budgeting $20 a month, if you can afford it, or less if needs be, but carry your gym fund with you. Then when you see a piece at t a yard sell (bargain it down) or at a thrift store (don't forget to get on it and make sure it is in good working order), then you can buy it and start your Gym.

If space is an issue, then put one piece in every room, then make a circuit, the kids love working out with mom, and think of the awesome habits you are instiling in them. I believe that we need to get our heart rates up a bit once a dayat least, and breaking a sweat is the best thing you can do to clean out an an over toxic system. Jumping on a rebounder (mini trampoline) for up to 10 minutes a day keeps your lymph system running at an optimal clip. And if you are pregnant it is imperative that you get exercise daily, it will help you sleep and get rid of morning sickness.

Happy hunting, and please let me know what you find.

New Moon!!!!!!

It's almost here people. The New Moon. What a blessing we have in Yahweh's time reckoning. We get a brand new month and what I feel is a brand new start every month with the sighting of the sliver of the new moon. The Torah says that we are to tell one month from another with the New Moon.... But unfortunately we have lost that glorious custom with the Jewish Calendar and the Gregorian Calendar. We only look at the moon as a dot on our calendar's, not something that has any significance.

We are commanded to blow the Shofar on new moon.... From what I can tell we should be able to spot it tomorrow night. Just make noise, and praise him..... How do you spot it you ask, well you need to go outside and look towards the setting sun, it will pop up to the left of the setting sun sometimes for only minutes sometimes for hours. Let me tell you that I got a chill the first time I was able to spot it, and I look forward to looking for it every month.... Praise our maker for giving us such a simple and amazing way to keep track of His time. A strong look into the reason we have the calendars we have now, is an eye opening experience.... and something you wont regret.

"Mom, Dad? Why don't you ever listen to me?"

Most parent's today believe that kid's should be seen and not heard. They think that kids do not, and should not have there own opinion. Well only those kids know how it feels.... Bad.

As someone who goes through it with some people myself, I have concluded to only nod and say"OK". But how a kid feels is worse than it looks. They feel like they are just being brushed away and put in a corner or swept under a rug. That he/she doesn't care about their opinion or what they think is right. But I know that some kids have it worse than I of course, but I'm sure no one likes it.

For example: Say that you get into a conversation with your kid, but everything that she says you just brush off, only thinking of how what she says is not what you believe to be the truth... and basically tell her that she is wrong and that she shouldn't have an opinion because she is either to young, or not worldly enough, or only spouting the opinion of the other parent, or a friend. Is it so hard to believe that a child of any age (I know that my 5 year old brother has strong opinions on what he believes) could know what they think and believe in, is it so hard to allow that child the opportunity to be heard and respected?

When you ignore or brush her/him aside, in her mind she subconsciously tells herself "This person doesn't care about what I'm saying!" and she thinks, "I'm some kind of opinion-less puppet." In the long run, that's going to mess her up as an adult. She will automatically think that no one cares what she thinks, or that everyone's opinion is wrong, and her's is the only right one. Trust me, I've seen it before. So people PLEASE, give your kids a chance, stop thinking about yourselves for a moment and you might be surprised what they have to say. We are smarter then we act sometimes, I promise.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://naturalmessianicliving.blogspot.com/2009/07/mom-dad-why-dont-you-ever-listen-to-me.html' title='"Mom, Dad? You get a real Hebraic feel, and can see a more accurate accounting of names and Yahweh's feasts and festivals. The only complaint I have is that the translator did not use our God's true name, he followed the Jewish tradition of not using the true name of God, I suppose it was to keep from misusing it.

Nourishing Traditions I LOVE THIS BOOK! What a blessing Sally Fallon is. This book, which is technically a cook book, has opened my eyes to a way of life and cooking that has been lost for decades. I don't like the shellfish recipes, as I eat kosher. But everything else is amazing. It will do every mom good to get this book, read it, learn it and implement it. Not everything will sound good to you, but work with the recipes and tweak them to suit you and your families taste.

Unassisted Childbirth This author changed my life. Laura Shanley is a pioneer of the Freebirth (Unassisted Childbirth) Movement. Her book gives you no nonsense information on how to have a home birth, and why it is important. I feel that you absolutely have to read this if you are planning a home birth. Even if you are planning to have a midwife, there is always a chance that she wont make it on time, so the knowledge you glean from this book will be power for you and your family.

Created To Be His Help-Meet What an amazing eye opening read this was for me. I feel that all women should read this book, take what you like and leave the rest. You will be able to figure your man out, and understand what he needs to be happy, and then how amazing is it that you will be happy as well. My marriage was transformed by this book. Please Please Please, read this if you are married or plan to be married.

To Train Up A Child If you are having any issues with your children this book will save you. I always had a hard time figuring out what I was doing wrong with my children, I loved them a ton, I protected them from everything, and I didn't spank them. Funny how they were just about out of control. Talked back, didn't listen, fought with each other and just about drove us NUTS!

Then a friend of mine turned me on to this book, and our lives are peaceful and awesome. The number one thing that children need, BOUNDARIES! This short book will give you all the tools, that with God's help will transform your household, and create loving and respectful children.

On The Questions Of Jesus I received this book free of charge at an awesome event I attended put on by Michael Rood Ministries. The Author and his wife were at the event and she gave me this book, as I didn't have money to purchase it. It has been a complete blessing to me. Don, has combed through the New Testament and asked all the questions that Yahshua asked, and then gives you some wonderful in site into how it applies to our lives. I love to read one a day and pray and meditate on it. I truly feel that Yahweh is working with this author, if you are blessed enough to find a copy of this book, you will be a happy believer.

The Unschooling Handbook Wow! If you are wondering what Unschool is, this is the place to go. I know that I struggled with the concept for years until I read this book. The author puts unschool into sharp perspective but quoting family's all over the country, they give their ideas and typical days. You will get a full picture of how to introduce learning opportunities for you children, what to watch out for. It's very helpful for parents who are trying to shake this western Greek idea of education and how children need to be 'exposed' to an education rather then taking it for them selves.

Wise Woman Herbal For The Child Bearing Year One of my best friends is a Lay Midwife. She told me about this book, and I am so impressed. This author gives you a no nonsense list of Herbs, that are essential for us a women to have in our daily diets, to support healthy cycles, ovulation and pregnancy. There are several pages on breastfeeding and postpartum issues. The only problem I have with this book is that in the beginning there are herbs listed to help with a 'natural' abortion, and herbs that will make you sterile. I personally don't think that those things are ok. But to each his own.

How To Raise A Healthy Child: In Spite Of Your Doctor The title says it all. May.

I have been reading this book for the last few days, and may I say Oh My Gosh! I knew that there were allergens in all of our homes, but I truly had no idea the extent of the damage that is being done every minute of every day to our health. And if you happen to have a child or two which is my case, with Asthma, I strongly suggest that you get this book and read it. Jeffery May, tells you all about the little pests that are invading our lives, why and how to eliminate them. I myself am now trying to work up the nerve to ask my landlord to replace the carpet with anything but carpet, not sure how he is going to take it, but it's worth a try.

The number one important action that needs to be taken, PETS! I know that we love our pets and they mean the world to us, but honestly let me ask you a question, who do you love more Fido, or your child? And yes I know that there will be kicking and screaming, kids love their furry friends, but unfortunately pet dander is one of the main allergies that children with Asthma share in common. It is so important for us to put their health first, 5000 children die a year in this country from Asthma! That number is heart stopping to me, the thought of one of my amazing children dieing from a disease that can be managed better then it currently is, horrifies me.

That being said, I am now looking for homes for our cat and dog. My daughter is wanting a lizard or a snake (OY VEY) to replace them, but that will have to be decided later. For now baby steps, and trying to clean up my already clean house. And suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

My House Is Killing Me, By Jeffery C May

How to make Bulgar.

Making Bulgar is very simple, and very good for you. It is a staple in middle eastern diets, and you can add it to just about anything you are wanting to bake or cook.

Take 1 cup or Wheat or Rye berries ( I do one of each) Whole Barley not pearled will also sprout, but Oat Groats will not. Put your grain in a wide mouth mason jar. Cut some screen (like on your windows) into circle disks to fit the top of the jars, then put the band on the jar.

Fill to the top with water, let sit for 12 ish hours, then pore off the water into another container and water your plants with it (lots of good nutrients for your plants). Fill with water again then drain it off. I like to set the jars upside down at an angle in my dish drain rack, as you want to let the water drain out and still get air into the jar.

Do the rinse drain thing a couple times a day until it sprouts. Usually happens on day 2 or 3.

Put your sprouts in a thin layer on dehydrator tray, or even a cookie sheet. In the dehydrator set the temp for 115* for around 12 hours. If using a cookie sheet, then set in the sun on the back porch until dried, be sure to stir from time to time. Or put in the oven on the lowest setting, until dried. (try not to get to hot, as you don't really want to cook them ;)

When the sprouts are completely dried, crack them with a hand grinder, or you can use your grain mill, on the course setting. I like to just crack it so it is nice and course. It works great as a hot cereal, or in Taboli, and I add it to my bread, and my porridge.

Put you Bulgar in an air tight jar and store in the fridge. I like to add lots of good for you stuff to my bread, because you can get away with it, and the kids are none the wiser. To make this bread you for sure need a grain mill, and a Bosch bread machine... This recipe makes 4 awesome loaves, and they are light enough for sandwiches like white, but filling like wheat....

2 1/2 C Whey (or buttermilk or milk) cold from the fridge

2 1/2 C Hot (just to boiling) H2o (I use an electric kettle)

1 1/2 T Sea salt

2/3 C Olive oil (grape seed is good as well)

1/3 C Turbinado sugar (or any sweetener you like Honey works awesome)

5 C Whole grain flour (I make a mixture of equal Wheat, Rye, Oat groat & Barley) Packed

1 C Bulgar (I do a mixture of equal Wheat and Rye)

1/4 C Gluton flour

1/4 C Ground Flax Seed's

3 T Yeast

Put the above ingredients into your mixer in the order listed, then run on 1, for 30 seconds or so. And left overs should be put into a cake pan pushed flat, and refrigerated. Then during snack time, you cut it into squares and put a dollop of whip cream on it, and you have Porridge Cake, the kids will love it (my hubby like me to make whole batches for him to have in the fridge, he likes to have it at work, filling and tasty all at once).

Our exhilarating unschool!

Spending time with my siblings is good for the mind, and for me that's unschool. Everyone should try out home schooling better yet unschooling. What is unschooling you may ask? Unschooling is like a cup of life! Unschooling... is Awesome! Unschooling is DA-bomb, I get to choose what I want to learn, and when I want to learn it. Unschool should be called life school, because I get to learn how to cook, how to blog, how to do Algebra, how to keep a clean house, how to farm (town). I love going to the Library and spending hours having fun reading and choosing videos. I get to choose whatever I please, and learn anything I like, and have fun with it. Oh Yeah!

When I was in public school, I hated it. I did not like being away from my family, and I was bored, because I was too smart for the class. My mom had home schooled me for sometime before that, so it was a real punch in the mouth going to public school. I was bullied with words by others, but I didn't take it as an insult, because I was strong and YHVH was with me, even when my family was at home.

Home School, doesn't suck that much! Because I sit at the table with my family doing book work, and learning things like cursive and English. It's good doing book work, but it's better doing unschool because I learn way more things then I used to learn just out of textbooks. Like how to write a check. My siblings and I recently purchased a huge LEGO ship from a friend. And I wanted to know how checks worked since my mom was going to write a check for the ship. So she drew a huge check on the black board in the kitchen, and taught me all about checks and the banking system. I can now tell you all about checks and how they work, if you ask me, and I'm only 11. My mom says she didn't learn about checks until she had a checking account!

So, I hope you learn something new from this blog.

Sincerely,
Camren

Farmtown for learning?

This might come as a shock to some, but I am advocating that everyone figure out a way for their children to play Farmtown. For those who haven't heard of it, Farmtown is an interactive game that you can play from Facebook. At first I refused to even look at it, figuring it was stupid and that I would be wasting my time, but now that I have played for awhile and allowed my older children to play for a few days I gotta say Wow, what a learning game.

Not only do they learn about farming (yes a simple form to be sure) but they also learn about money (saving and spending), you have an opportunity to work for other farmers, and hire others to work your farms. They get a chance to work on their spelling and typing skills, as they chat with friends and family, and send and receive gifts. All in all I love it, and so do the kids. It really warms my heart to see them working to save enough money to buy a barn, or animal they really want, because I know that in a limited budget household like ours, they wont get very many opportunities to work with money in real life, so I am super glad that I can give them this chance to practice these important skills.

And for those who are unfamilluar woith facebook, it is a social netwqorking site that you can connect with friends and family. Unlike myspace it seems relatively innocent, and you can be sure to only have family and friends on your friends list. Strangers hardly ever ask to be friends with you, usually only if you are in a group (home schoolers, ER fans .....) together.

Yahova's Arms.

Sometimes I am so blown away by the Spirit of YHVH. I was doing some studying the last few days on His name and issues concerning Torah and oral Torah, Rabbis and Kararites, and then had a wonderful discussion with the children about all of it. The discussion started over breakfast while we talked about the possibility that the earth was created billions of years ago when a huge asteroid of some kind hit the pre-earth that was twice the size it is now, and started it spinning, and therefore made gravity.

This is an idea that was told to them by someone of no faith in Yah, so of course they ask my opinion on these things and I had a couple of questions for them. First, if earth was just a huge mass free floating in the atmosphere that was hit by some other mass, then how did our planet have the exact right amount of oxygen vs carbon dioxide to sustain all the life that we support on this earth? And second, how did we end up on the perfect orbit from the sun, not to close as to burn up, and not so far as to freeze to death? How did it all end up so perfectly in place, there is only one answer for me, and that is that a loving and all knowing Elohim put it all into play, so that we could live this life.

It is really hard for me not to tell them what I believe and to allow them to form their own ideas and beliefs but to my amazement they always come out on the side of YHVH. I remain in total amazement daily at the depth and scope of their faith, and how Yah has truly written his instruction on their hearts, and at the ability he gives me to train them in the way they need to go. I am only able to this because I truly feel that He uses me as a mouth piece so to speak, to tell them what he wants them to hear. For instance about noon or so the children and I were hanging out in my room talking about Torah, and the difference between Rabbinical Judaism and Karaite Judaism, and how we as a family fall more on the side of the Kariates as we have no use for the extra rules and regulations and traditions that have been put into place in rabbinical Judaism, and we feel that sticking to Torah is the best way to go. If it isn't given in Torah we will always question any doctorin or teaching from any religious group.

You see I was explaining Torah to them by drawing a box on a piece of paper and saying you see this is Torah, as long as we stay in this boundary we will be safe, Yah gave us this boundary to keep us healthy and in his grace, through the instructions about food, marriage, treatment of others and the worship of other god's, just to name a few. And when we stray outside the boundaries of Torah bad things start to befall us, when we take our lives and our choices and decide to do things without checking it by Torah we will not make the right choices, since by nature man is a sinful being that will lust after his own heart, not to mention the influence the Adversary has on all of our lives. You see it is his goal to pull as many of us from our Father as he can, he wants to hurt our Father and us, he makes all things that are sin feel really good for a brief moment, only to have the consequences not feel good. Like drinking until you are drunk, it feels really good to be drunk, to have all you inhibitions lowered and to feel free, only to wake up in the morning sick with a pounding headache if you are lucky, or even worse to wake up in jail because you drove drunk, or wake up next to a total stranger, not having the slightest idea of what transpired the night before. That feeling of dark aloneness we feel after we sin is what we get to look forward too all day every day that we are outside Torah, and imagine if we have to spend eternity in that state, no thank you.

This is where the talk really took off, as I was hanging with the kids it came to me, and I'm positive that the Yah was speaking to them through me, and filled my mouth with the right words. I asked my son Camren to come closer to me and I held him in my arms, I asked him how that felt, he said he felt warm and loved. And I said that Torah is YHVH's arms, that when you are inside Torah living and breathing it you are inside YHVH's embrace, where you are warm and safe and loved, that no matter where you are on the wonderful earth He created, as long as you have Torah in your heart then you will be in His arms. Well, we were all struck by the power of that analogy, and sat in silence for almost a full minute as it all sunk in.

Then I continued by saying that like mom's arms when we screw up that He offers correction, and then wraps His arms around us again, that He is always training us, even as adults, just like I train them as children, because he is our Father and we belong to him. Basically I have realized that before I truly gave myself and my love and my life over to YHVH's capable arms, that I was totally out of control, my life was full of darkness and misery. I was on all sorts of medication to fix my moods, and I was truly unhappy most of the time, unless I was medicating with some drug, be it cigarettes, or drinking, or even drugs. Even food, at times lulled me into oblivion so that I didn't have to feel the pain in my soul, and since I gave my soul to my Father, I have not had a panic attack, or a depressive state, that when I am in His arms, I am safe and loved, and I can truly feel love and give it, without reservations or strings attached. That even when I am having hard times, He holds me up, and keeps me going, and that I am truly happy even in hard times. I have faith that no matter what, He will take care of me and make it all ok, no matter what.

Thank you Abba for loving me and taking care of me, Ah'men.

The state of our society.

I found a few minutes this afternoon sitting in my rocking chair humming a teething baby to sleep, to watch Judge Judy. And I was hit with this massive nausea over the state of relationships now a days. We have people suing people over bills and furniture , cell phone bills, slander and a host of other petty issues caused by men and women moving in together with out the benefit of marriage. Or roommates who cant stand each other and leave the other one hanging with the rent and bills and so forth.

For as much as we all think we have grown and changed, with our modern world, living alone or with strangers, dating many many people, not 'settling', and playing the field. I believe we are way worse off then ever before. What is it that we were running from in the first place. Was it the security and stability of life long marriage? Was it the health and safety of a monogamist relationship? Was it the love and structure that living at home with your family until marriage afforded? The most important question is are we crazy? What in the world is wrong with us?

You see I have a few friends and family members who are currently dealing with some of these issues, having lived with someone who was not their spouse and now living in a tiny apartment struggling to make the ends meet, after being practically robbed by the 'significant other' when it all went to hell in a hand basket. What was the point? Are they going to end up on Judge Judy fighting it our over $100 dollars and a game system.

"He has a bag of my clothes!" She whines,
"Well she ruined my computer!" He snarled, to elicit a snort and an eye roll form Judge Judy.

God forbid.

I would like to call out to everyone to go back in time, back to when people got married for the rest of their lives, had kids and raised them with morals and values. Made sure that they had a strong foundation based on religious principals, a biblical beginning if you will. Like teaching our children that lying is a sin, and that your virginity is special and something that should not be given lightly. What would our world look like if our children were taught what a good work ethic looked like, and understood that consequences follow actions, either good or bad. Children that have had discipline (OMG yes I am talking about spanking) and respect their elders, and love their neighbor........

Look at the people we want to emulate in the press. We gobble up magazines full of slutty looking women who jump from man to man and have children with many different people. Or the men who trade their wives in for a younger model. If we didn't buy these rags (or watch the television shows) then maybe they would put people on the cover who had some values and morals that our children could really look up too.

What influence are we being on our kids? How do we dress, how long do we keep a job? What kind of books and magazines do we read, what kind of programs do we watch on the TV and at the theater? These are all questions we need to be asking ourselves. One that I have struggled with is the music I listen to. My husband has a weakness for rock music, and honestly some of the lyrics are completely inappropriate, even some of the country music I listen too is not suitable for children to listen to, and I have in the past excused it by saying, "They aren't even listening, they're busy playing." Yeah right, only later to have them humming the beat and singing the lyrics. Oops

Shouldn't our kids be our first priority? Why are we ok with strangers raising our children? Now I understand that some mothers due to divorce and or death of a spouse have no choice but to get a job to take care of their children. But what kind of family's do we have that we will turn the raising of our children over to a daycare and public school, for what I ask? So that we can have better cars, or a bigger house, God forbid we don't get to take a vacation every year. What happened to the dad's who found a second job if needed to make ends meet. I stay home and take care of my children, I take full responsibility for their care, discipline, and education. And let me tell you it can be the hardest job there is. My husband on the other hand works and makes sure that we have enough money to pay the bills. Sometimes it is really hard and at other times it is easier. And when we need it he has gone and gotten a second job, because having his children raised by their mother is his #1 priority. He works in manual labor and does not have any kind college degree to 'fall back on', but we make it and I know that there are more family's that could make it if they only gave it a try.

We are responsible for them, and when they grow up, are we going to be proud of the job we've done? I hope that I will do a good job and that I will raise a bunch of awesome, respectful, healthy kids. When did being a mother become something that was less than having a career. And if a career is something that you want maybe waiting until the children are grown might be a good idea.

Isn't raising our children and parenting supposed to be the most important job there is.

My little girl.

I just wanted to take a few minutes and document Abigail sweet existence. She is the first baby that I have given birth to all by myself, no doctors or nurses, no stir-ups... just me a pool and then there was a baby. The most sweet beautiful baby in the world. She was so perfect and fat and pink. Well needless to say I haven't ever had to take her to a Dr. she is super healthy, and fat, and still perfect.

The question is why is she so healthy, I have a few ideas.... First, maybe its because her cord wasn't clamped and cut immediately after birth.... did you know that doing that traps a full 30% to 50% of the baby's blood volume in the placenta. You might ask yourself "Self, why would Dr's who are supposed to do no harm rob the tinyist little life of so much of his or her very vital blood?" I can tell you, part of it is just being total impatient A -holes... wanting to hurry and get outta that room and on to other things, hence the shot of Pitocin that they always give now to "help" the placenta come faster, God forbid they let nature take it's course and wait for the cord to stop pulsing then cut it. And perhaps if all women were allowed to let their placentas detach and come out on their own (no tugging, yanking, or pulling required) then we would not have the high instance of PP hemorrhage.

Then there is the selling of our placentas that is happening all over this country. The hospitals are selling our placentas to Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic companies.. Why you might ask? Cord blood is a huge deal now, and the Hospitals get a huge payday for that, but do you think that we get a credit on our bill since it is our "Medical Waste" they are selling to make face cream (bet you didn't know that lots of our anti-aging smudge we slather all over our faces and bodies has human placentas in them), and all sorts of things that I don't even want to get into here.

Second, she has never been poked by a needle, not for a Vitamin K shot, or any other "Immunization" they kill more babies then they help by the way. I did not cut her heel to test her for a Metabolic Disorder that only strikes like less then 1% of babies, and usually there is a family connection (heredity) nor did I take her in when she got Jaundice, as something like over 90% of newborns have Jaundice... And being an intelligent person that knows how to read I was able to do research on Jaundice and found that there are 3 kinds, and that Abbie had the most common and most easily treatable kind. Treated with lots of boob juice and some sunlight.

I took Alisha (my oldest) in twice a day for the first week Post-Pard for "heal sticks" because of her jaundice. They never did or gave her anything for it, but her heels looked like pin cushions.

There are many other reasons I feel contribute the Abigail's over all health and well being, I co-sleep, she has spent every night of her life within arms reach of me. I wear her in a sling (more when she was small) around the house and out in public at the store. She has never been that screaming baby in Walmart getting her car seat shaken, while being shushed by an antsy mom who just wants to run outta there leaving her cart full of stuff behind.

I have never fed her on the schedule that was put out by God knows who saying that babies need cereal at 4 months and food at 6 months.... bla bla bla. She has only been interested in nursing from the start, and she is just now at 10 months starting to want to try other foods. And the funny thing is, if you nurse your baby exclusively that is all the food they need until they are a year old. That little tidbit is not given by the mainstream media, maybe because they are funded by the Formula companies, I wont even get into what poise that crap is right now.

So here we are at 10 months, and Abbie weighs 22 pounds, she is crawling and cruising, she is saying mama, dada, baba, and like 4 or 5 other baby words. She eats great, she sleeps soundly, she only poops once a week (which really freaked me out at first, but there doesn't seem to be a problem). She loves her siblings and enjoys 'petting' hahaha the kitties.

I am writing this so that I can remind myself that listening to my gut and my mothers intuition will always be a better idea then listening to the mainstream media, Dr's who always have a agenda and who are also pressured by the Pharm Companies. Now I am not saying that there isn't a place for Dr's and hospitals, because there definitely is, I'm saying that they should be more of a last resort, God gave us all the ability to take care of our offspring, just like the animals, I have yet to see a chimp take her baby to another chimp to fix it, she takes care of her baby herself.

Mothers trust your intuition.... you'll thank me later!!!

For a time and a season.

I had a week of revelation in my life. I traveled up to Northern Idaho to spend Passover with some friends of ours. It was amazing to do a truly biblical passover, we roasted a goat whole, put the blood on the door posts the whole nine yards! Not at all like the Passover Seders I have attended in the past, no long boring rabbinical bleh, we ate with our coats on and our staffs in hand (sure some of us had ski poles in hand, LOL) but we did our very best to follow Yahweh's instructions in the Torah, and I feel so wonderful about it.

Now I am left with a wondering about how I allowed myself to get so entrenched in the Rabbinical Customs in the first place, lets see, first it is what most of us do when we learn about and try to follow Torah and the Hebrew roots of our faith I like to call it jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.. Most of us do it when we are trying to learn about Torah and have been raised indoctrinated and clinging to an inaccurate ideal of "Jesus" and the teaching that we were all taught growing up that the 'Law' is done away with.

First Jesus' actual name was Y'shua (or Yeshua or Yahshua the spelling varies in English as it is a Hebrew name), he was a Jew, and he followed Torah to the letter, he was perfect, sinless.... and Kosher ;) He would never have taught against Torah, because it says very clearly in the Bible that if he sinned then he was not the Messiah, and teaching people to go against God's instruction was the greatest sin. BTW Torah means instruction and is translated as Law.

The confusion comes in around 379 a.d. When the Roman Emperor Constantine decided to merge his pagan worship with Messianic Belief. He was sick and tired of all fighting that was taking place between the 2 factions, like what day is the Sabbath? Pagans say Sunday (the venerable day of the sun).. and the early Believers worshiped the actual Shabbat which has always been on Saturday, ever since Yahweh created the heavens and the earth.

It is important to remember that Constantine was an extreme anti-Semite, and when he merged the 2 religions he wanted all things 'Jewish' outta there. The only problem is that the things Constantine go rid of were not Jewish things, they were His things, God's. Like his feasts and festivals, his Sabbath, and many other things that were deemed Jewish, since Yahweh was always the God of the Hebrews (Jews), until Y'shua, He made it possible for the Torah of Yahweh to be brought to the Gentiles and the bible says that if we believe in Him then we are grafted into Israel, adopted. And the Bible makes it clear the adopted children have the same rights if not more then the original offspring.

So, I feel no need to call myself Jew or Hebrew, even though I live as Torah says and follow Yahweh and Y'shua, I am Israel not a Jew, so I call myself Messianic and I am a true believer. My eyes were opened the day that I shed all the pagan customs and holidays, did the research and decided to go with God. I pray that all who have faith in the One true God will do the same research and find the Hebrew roots of your faith... I feel Him daily and I know He is in control....

May Yahweh bless you and keep you, may He make His face to shine upon you and give you Shalom!
